Jemma Hye Jin Byun is an artist based in Boston, MA. She received her BFA from Korea University and is currently an MFA candidate at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Her paintings explore identity, memory, and place, blending natural and distorted images she captures from life. By contrasting light, color, and composition, she creates spaces that feel both real and dreamlike, leaving quiet areas that invite viewers to reflect on their own connections to time and self.
